‘Sharing my passion for homemade pasta inspired by my Nonna’

Marco

What’s On at Pranzo

Our Festive Menu is now available at all Pranzo restaurants.

What’s on at Pranzo >

Pranzo takes its inspiration from Marco’s family heritage in Calabria, Southern Italy where he watched his Nonna make homemade pasta mixed with ingredients picked from their garden.

On the menu today, you’ll see Marco’s favourite elements of his Nonna’s traditional recipes. Everything is made in house, our pasta is made fresh daily as are our breads, sauces and desserts.

The journey so far...

In 2018 we opened our first Italian restaurant in Ilkley. Pranzo started life as a humble Italian lunch bar employing a handful of people, with Marco and his dad cooking together in the kitchen. Two years later we opened a second Italian restaurant in Harrogate.

Restaurant expansions and relocations have helped us gain an AA Rosette in culinary excellence. TripAdvisor also recognised us as one of the best Italian restaurants in the north. In 2024 we opened our third Italian restaurant on Town Street in Horsforth.

2025 will see us open our fourth restaurant in York. We’ll be based on Church Street, just a stone’s throw from York Minster, Jorvik Viking Centre and the Theatre Royal. By spring 2025 we’ll have created an authentic Italian dining space in the city where you can enjoy our homemade pasta.
